The incident
happened as the Duchess, carrying Prince George and the Duke of Cambridge – Prince
William – were making their way from the plane, greeted by an entourage of officials
and senior representatives of New Zealand. Not having the most welcoming of
weather fronts, the faux pas occurred when a strong and unexpected gust of wind
that caught the hem of the Duchesses dress and coat, revealing a little too
much to the awaiting crowd.
However,
expertly handled and swiftly corrected the Duchess, looking radiant as ever,
maintained her dignity and modesty by controlling the unfortunate gaff, even
whilst holding Prince George.
Thankfully
this little hitch was over masked by much of the attention being received by
Prince George as he made his first public appearance in New Zealand, much to the
delight of onlookers and the awaiting crowd, the first appearance since his
much received christening on the 23rd October 2013.
Watching
from the UK, the team at My Knickers believed that the Duchess of Cambridge
held herself together beautifully and with a regal pose. A spokesperson for
My-Knickers had this to say: “We are all in awe of how stunning Kate (The
Duchess of Cambridge) is and are a huge fan of hers. In a sense, My-Knickers
believe that this wardrobe malfunction was unavoidable and a result of the
mercy of the weather New Zealand was experiencing, a bit of an unfortunate
circumstance but one that was handled with elegance and sophistication.”
Adding that,
“the images across the world’s press only go to show that Kate is more than
capable of handling any such situation, not simply because she has a terrific
figure and a wonderful, exquisite taste in clothing and underwear too but
because she maintains the dignity to carry herself in a regal manner.”
The
spokesperson for My-Knickers also added, “We all think that the Duchess of
Cambridge carries herself with dignity and the demeanour reserved for royalty
and continue to be great fans, both of the person and definitely her choice in
underwear too.”
If anything
it seems that this incident only reinforces popularity of women’s underwear and
shows the world that even members of our monarchy have wonderful taste in
lingerie.
