£400 million ‘Brownfield’ scheme gets the thumbs up from leading removal company Safe Removals
Safe Removals, a professional removal company providing bespoke moving solutions for a diverse array of clients, has spoke of their anticipation of the beginning of work on the brownfield scheme that will see homes for approximately 50,000 families being erected on 20 ‘housing zones’ allocated across London.

Following news of the proposed builds, there has been mixed feelings from local authorities and residents, many claiming that the homes may not come soon enough, after it was discovered that out of all the family properties in London, just 86 homes currently for sale fell into an ‘affordable’ price bracket.

In an attempt to remedy this and provide fresh new housing for thousands of residents looking for affordable, clean accommodation where children can be brought up safely, each of the twenty ‘housing zones’ have had planning restrictions removed in a bid to build homes quickly and efficiently.

In a direct bid to meet a quota set by London’s Mayor Boris Johnson, the latest build, announced by the Treasury should begin work soon but as yet there is no official start date for the scheme. It still leaves the question of the rest of the 63,000 homes that the Mayor of London needs to produce each year to sustain the growth of the city, although word from the mayor’s office stated that since being elected, 75,000 homes have been built and he is adamant he’s on target.

If all goes to plan and work commences on the Brownfield’ scheme, many thousands of individuals will undoubtedly require the services of removal companies across London. Businesses such as Safe Removals continually look forward to ventures such as this, enabling them to have a sustained busy period that not just improves their work flow but automatically gains them the added reputation that works well within inner-city areas too.

A spokesperson for Safe Removals had this to say, regarding the news of the build:

“We are a company that pride ourselves on our attention to detail, commitment to customer service and delivering a courteous and professional service. Although there seems to be a few disputes regarding the expansion of the housing situation in London, we believe that the Mayor has these issues addressed and is working to resolve the issues of overcrowding and affordable housing.

“Our services are tailored to the needs of the individual and any additional work this or any other project generates with be a welcomed boost to removal companies across the London Boroughs.”
