land speed record, which currently stands at 763.035mph. The current world
record is held by BLOODHOUND SSC project director Richard Noble who achieved
the incredible feat in 1997 driving the Thrust SSC along Black Rock Desert,
United States.
Hailed as a ‘Global Engineering Adventure’, the BLOODHOUND team will attempt
a 1000mph land speed record, potentially heralding a significant breakthrough
for science and technology while also serving as an inspiration for future
generations, with hopes it will encourage interest in mathematics, engineering,
technology and more.
