Ink Worldwide has
responded to news that Epson have created a printer that doesn’t require
cartridges
EcoTank, a range of printers created by Epson, are said to
be sold with enough ink to print 4,000 b/w pages and a whopping 6,000 colour
pages, a fact that many believe could change the printing industry as we know
it.
The L355 and L5555 are both claimed to provide enough ink to
last around two years, making printing more affordable and stress-free,
particularly for home users and those who run small businesses.
EcoTank printers contain ‘ultra-high-capacity’ ink tanks
that you can refill with Epson ink.
Product manager of Epson UK, Simon Hanly, said: “The L555
and L355 are based on technology that has been highly successful in other
markets where we have sold over 10 million units in less than four years.
“Epson is now responding to customer needs by launching the
EcoTank range for western Europe. Complementing our line-up of existing
products, these models are ideal for home and small office customers who want
to print everyday documents, such as recipes, homework, emails and maps, and
for whom price and convenience are key factors. With two years’ worth of ink
included, users know where they stand.”
