MEISTER MAKES WORLD'S FIRST ENGINEERED FLOOR TO FEATURE WOOD POWDER TECHNOLOGY

The UK's largest flooring distributor Interfloor has introduced a new type of engineered wood flooring to the UK as part of its collection from German luxury brand Meister.

Lindura™ HD300 engineered wood floor has been developed by Meister using wood powder technology. Wood powder is a material mix made from fine wood fibres and other natural additives invented by Swedish company Välinge. Meister is the first company in the world to develop a manufacturing technology for innovative wood floors based on wood powder.

Meister's innovative production process allows the wood's natural cracks and knots to be emphasised, creating a finish which looks just like solid wood, but with remarkable toughness. Lindura has a 20 year warranty in living areas, and is suitable for kitchens and other busy areas of the home.

Lindura™ HD300 engineered wood is available in two finishes, Oak 8410 (approx £60 per sq m excl fitting) and Light Clay Grey Oak 8416 (approx £64 per sq m excl fitting). Both feature Meister's trademark WearTec® Nature finish which penetrates deep into the wood and forms a protective, breathable surface to create a natural appearance with a subtle brilliance, emphasising the grain and regulating humidity. The naturally oiled surface requires regular polishing, which gives the floor a natural sheen and exceptional resistance. If required, it can be re-oiled and partly refinished without any sanding down.

The wide planks (1-strip) and 4-way bevelled edges add to the authentic look and are completely in character with the rustic finish of the oak-effect flooring.
