A Stafford-basedpsychotherapist and yoga teacheris offering local people the opportunity to learn how to listen to the wisdom of their bodies to change unhelpful emotional states or patterns in their behaviour.

On Saturday 12thDecember, Sue Tupling will be running ‘What the Body Knows' workshop will which teach delegates to develop awareness of their moment by moment feeling states to help them begin to make deeper changes in their lives. Attendees will come away feeling positive about being able to change some of their unhelpful emotional patterns, for example when they are feeling anxious or depressed.

Sue explained "Our bodies know more about our past than our words can express. By understanding what our bodies have to teach us we can let go of the past and live a more fulfilling and happy future."

As a qualified and experienced coach, counsellor, psychotherapist and yoga teacher, Sue will be helping to raise insight and self awareness during the workshop at St Albans House Therapy room. The techniques have proven helpful for many symptoms and patterns including anger issues, persistent headaches, addictive or compulsive behaviour such as smoking or over eating, anxiety, worry, tension or sleeplessness.

The workshop which is open to anyone aged 18 or over, will feature a combination of theory and exercises drawn from body psychotherapy and yoga. These simple yet powerful practices will enable attendees to develop a greater understanding of why they do what they do so that they can begin to make lasting changes in their lives.

Sue said: "In the workshop people will learn simple techniques to help them understand themselves more, feel more relaxed and begin to change the things that limit them. By doing this in a small, safe and supportive group people can help begin to overcome past traumas, emotional wounds and losses and live with more joy and contentment in the present. "

The workshop will run on on Saturday 12thDecember at 10am - 12.30pm at St Albans House, St Albans Road, Stafford, ST16 3DP and costs only £10.

If you would like to get involved or find out any more information about the workshops please contact Sue Tupling on 07411178380 or visit the website www.embodiedliving.co.uk for more details.
