Local family business thrives through winter for a second year running

Howells Patent Glazing, a local, family run company in Cradley Heath, are celebrating the end to a magnificent year. With record sales and turnover for the second year in a row, the business is blooming thanks to a great workforce and some amazing grants from local councils and colleges. Although December can be a daunting time for business in this industry and widespread with low turnover and unexpected bills coming in, Howells have stormed through and thanks to their dedicated customer service team, they are completing two contracts for the domestic market this month.

To Howells Patent Glazing, it's about more than just window fitting. They lay their success with their clients, and how they deal with the specific requests of the customers. Their extensive knowledge in their industry allows them to customize jobs to suit exactly the dimensions and requests of their clients, and their two latest jobs have proved that.

The Family run business are working throughout December on a number of commercial jobs and domestic jobs. Their latest are one in Ripon and one in South West London. Dave Bennett from Howells Patent Glazing has said; "Both of our most recent domestic jobs in December have been fitted without incident. We want to show that every job is unique, and that every client has their own criteria on how they would like the finished product to benefit their home. We take many things into account, especially that we are in someone's home and we always respect our surroundings."

The team at Howells work directly with builders and architects to give a complete service, and to mitigate any potential problems that can arise from different trades all working in the same vicinity - If you have ever had any work done on your own home, you will know that having the plumber, builder, kitchen fitter and carpenter all on site isn't quite how it seems on '60 minute makeover'.

"Every project has its own issues. We love it - It means that every job is different. Things like tight time frames, very motivated project managers and more can all effect how your install goes. On the two domestic clients this month, our attention to detail involved our team working into the night and travelling back very late on the evenings".

Also, because of the great year they have had, and to get into the Christmas Spirit, Howells Patent Glazing and their team have donated two trolleys of grocery shopping to the Cradley Heath Community Link Food Bank. They have made it very clear that they owe their success to the people around them, and the support they have had throughout the years.

Looking into 2016, Howells are predicting that they will have a lot of new projects on board, from big clients through to small, domestic window styling that only they can complete to the standard they are known for. They are proud of their workforce, and are looking forward to what they hope will be another record year.
