Cornish Food Wholesaler Catering For Gluten Free

Two Brothers Foods, a food wholesaler based near Newquay, has expanded its quality gluten free product range due to popular demand.

The company delivers the finest, freshest seasonal foods and niche products - including those sourced locally as part of its Cornish Table range - to the doors of professional kitchens across the South West.

New editions to the large selection include gluten free burgers; made in-house using locally-sourced meat, they were trialed last year and have now become a permanent edition to the product range as a result of their success.

Managing Director Gavin Roberts explained: "We wanted to make a really great tasting and locally-sourced product for this growing market. We introduced our gluten free burgers quietly at first to test demand, and were overwhelmed with the response; we are anticipating even higher demand in 2016."

Other products available include Gluten Free Herby Pork Sausages from The Kernow Sausage Company - an adaptation of the classic Cumberland sausage.

The Kernow Sausage Company was Gavin's first enterprise and the award-winning selection of bacon, sausages and pork cuts now forms a core part of the offering at Two Brothers Foods.

Slim and Proper Lower Fat Sausages are also tipped to be flying off the shelves in 2016; they contain around 65% less fat than a traditional sausage - without compromising on quality or taste.

Other specialist products include gluten free pies from Cornish producer Grumpies; made with the best local ingredients, Steak & Ale and vegetarian Homity Pies are both satisfying meals, minus wheat, barley and rye.

For those with a sweet tooth, The Cornish Patisserie has been creating decadent cakes in Cornwall for over 15 years; Gluten Friendly Apple & Lemon Cake, Chocolate Cake and Fruit Cake are just three of the products available via Two Brothers Foods.

Gavin commented: "We are constantly adapting and evolving our range in order to help chefs exceed the expectations of their customers. As more and more people cut out or reduce the amount of gluten in their diet, there is a growing demand for a wider variety of suitable products from the restaurants, B&Bs, hotels, pubs and cafes we work with."
