Business Van of the Year,Best Large Trades Van, Best Green Van: Vauxhall Vivaro 2700 Panel Van

The British built Vauxhall Vivaro covers all the ground trades would need, reckoned the judges.

Its practical 8.6 cu m load area boasts the clever FlexCargo load-through bulkhead as standard, allowing items up to 3.75m in length can be carried with ease. While there's great green credentials as the 1.6 BiTurbo engine fitted is capable of a class-leading fuel figure of 47.9mpg.

Other innovative features include the wide-angle, blind spot mirror and ecoMode offered as standard.

Judge Eddie Parker from GE Capital Fleet said: "Vivaro is a fine van, and justifiably popular. It seems no one will be sacked for choosing one! It has outstanding green credentials and is a fantastic overall small business solution. Proudly built in Britain, the Vivaro offers impressive levels of build quality, with a wide range of accessories as well as options to make it more bespoke. "

Best Heavy Van: Vauxhall Movano 3500 Panel Van

The Movano 3500 Panel Van is Vauxhall's second commercial winner in the 2016 Business Van of the Year Awards as the Movano takes the Best Heavy Van award.

A tough and reliable as they come, the judges recognised that the Movano covers long distances while keeping driver and passengers comfortable with an expansive load area, sturdy build and long 25,000 mile service intervals - which all add up to low running costs.

Dave Bowen, Chairman of the Judges and Managing Director of BT fleet added: "The Movano is a tried and tested vehicle that has undergone light body panel revisions recently. Its real winning capability is the choice of either front or rear wheel drive, GVW of up to 4.5 tonnes, 25,000 mile/two yearly service intervals and a range of heights/lengths. Various cab variants (double cab, chassis cab, crew cab & platform cab) are boosted by Vauxhall's extensive body conversion choice of tippers, dropsides, box vans and mini-buses."

Martyn Collins, editor of Business Vans, said: "Choosing the right vehicles for the job is a serious business and one which many van operators get wrong - sometimes with costly consequences. So these Awards highlight the best vans, financing and business support programmes for traders, small businesses and small fleet van operators in the SME sector."
