CONSUMER CHAMPIONS BEAT HIGH RAIL FARES!

It's been a year since train buffs Trainsplit, came to the rescue of hard-pressed train travellers' mounting costs.

They found an easy way to find an average 27% extra saving using a ‘split - ticketing' system. This works by carrying a few extra tickets on a journey with stops.

The online rail ticketing pioneers started spreading the word and within 12 months the uptake has exploded seven fold, saving their customers over £1million!

This great idea was spread by consumer focused journalists and social media forums. They highlighted ticket savings like London to Bath Spa for £43.10 instead of £92.50 offered by the Big Train Operators. You won't find them following Trainsplit's lead as these bargain prices aren't offered by the rail operators, nor at station ticket offices or at platform ticket machines.

It's been up to consumers, media, money saving sites, concerned MPs and rail user groups to question why these split ticket savings are not being offered.

The result, more publicity and more and more savings on train journeys.
