Get Dental Plans: Putting the smile back on the nation's face
Soaring dental costs are stopping people from going to the dentist and for many people dental care has become unaffordable. Up to 19% of the population have delayed treatment due to cost, and one in 10 say they would cut oral products and treatment from their shopping list for financial reasons.
Most people want to look after their teeth and are increasingly frustrated that they cannot afford regular check-ups and are scared to visit the dentist for fear of high costs.
Marc Benjamin, managing director of Get Dental Plans Limited, one of the UK's leading independent dental insurance brokers plans to rectify the situation and is aiming to bring to people's attention the amazing dental insurance plans available.
Most people are unaware that not only is high quality dental insurance available but that it does not have to be prohibitively expensive.
After a 20 year career in Private Medical Insurance, Benjamin now works closely with the major dental insurance companies to promote dental insurance policies that are simple, straight forward and offer outstanding cover and value for money. Premiums start from around £10 per month.
"People simply can't afford to pay for the treatment they need, and are disappointed that they cannot afford to look after their teeth properly. They realise that poor dental hygiene can lead to serious health problems. I have set up Get Dental Plans with the aim of bringing excellent, affordable, freestanding dental insurance plans to the market", says Benjamin.
Dental Insurance is becoming one of the most popular employee benefits and it is something both employees and individuals are prioritising.
"With National Smile Month coming up (16 May to 16 June), we are keen to get the word out about the fantastic dental plans available to both individuals and companies."
The plans that Get Dental Plans offer are aimed at companies with a minimum of two members of staff and offer immediate cover with no pre-joining checks. Get Dental also offer plans to individuals.
Benjamin feels dental insurance will be a major growth area in the UK over the next five years, and that there are big opportunities to expand into the SME market. It's becoming an ever increasing requested employee benefit.
The insurance products on offer have been welcomed by Get Dental's clients, especially SME's that want to look after their staff.
Warren Rosenberg who runs Fusion Students says, "It's a fantastic plan that we now offer to our staff. Although it's a taxable benefit our staff are reassured that they can maintain their teeth without worrying about the costs of seeing the dentist. We also like the fact that our staff can continue to use their existing dentist.
"Dental Insurance was an area that we as a company were considering for a while as we feel that it will be appreciated by our staff who can ensure that they keep their oral hygiene in good shape. As an employer we realise that encouraging our staff to look after their teeth will improve their health and also reduce absenteeism", says Rosenberg.
Benjamin says: "This is an exciting time for Get Dental Plans. Very few independent brokers are actively promoting free standing dental insurance, especially to SME's. We represent the leading dental insurance providers and offer a wide range of dental insurance policies".
"Get Dental Plans now offer a range of policies which means that people no longer have to worry about whether they can afford to go to the dentist".
