Fastest selling used car in Glasgow is Vauxhall Antara

Quickest models off the forecourt across the UK named by trade bible Glass's

The fastest selling used car in Glasgow over the last month has been named by Glass's, publishers of the motor trade bible, Glass's Guide.

It is the Vauxhall Antara at an average price of £10,764, at an average age of 35 months old and selling in an average of 16 days, the company's data shows.

Rupert Pontin, Glass's Head of Valuations, said: "One of Vauxhall's hidden secrets, the Antara offers space and practicality a sensible price. The 4WD option is useful too especially for this area of the country at this time of year and the seven seat variants are also popular with the family buyer."

The result for Glasgow gave a fascinating insight when compared to the priorities of different buyers in different parts of the country, he added.

"It is interesting to contrast with the offroad style and ability of the Antara, the bestseller in Glasgow, with the fun and funky Fiat 500 that tops the list in Birmingham or the unpretentious Skoda Octavia that is the most popular in Manchester."

Nationally, the overall bestseller is the Dacia Sandero Stepway, taking 27 days to sell at a price of £8,346 and an average of 12 months old.
