British Lion to coach Minis at Lymm RFC

Former British Lion and England international Tim Stimpson is due to drop in on Lymm Rugby Club on Saturdaymorning, 5 March for a coaching session with the Under 9's Mini team.

This visit follows another star player, Paul Sculthorpe, the former Warrington, St Helens and England Rugby League international who took a coaching session with the Mini and Junior section at the beginning of the season.

Lymm is a community-oriented club that is run on a strictly amateur status, with over 1,500 members and over 450 children in the mini and junior section up to the age of 18.

In addition to running exciting coaching events with star players, the clubhas good contacts with Sale Sharks and runs many events throughout the year for the mini and juniors, competing at many rugby festivals.

This has proved to be a great foundation club for boys who have gone through the age groups and now play professionally, including international David Strettle and Ross Harrison of Sale Sharks.

Lymm Rugby Club, which has just won the right to host the Japan U20 team for the forthcoming Junior Rugby World Championship to be held in Manchester, also has a thriving senior and touch-rugby section including a great veterans set-up with many social and rugby-based events throughout the whole year. This includes the world famous Lymm Panto, Sportsman's Evenings and the Annual Ball in the summer marquee.

The club is keen to get more children and adults enjoying rugby union so if you think you or your child would enjoy the game please contact Andy Leach by emailingandywleach@aol.comor visitwww.trylymm.com
