Respected landscape painter Andrew Giddens celebrates the arrival of spring on the West Cornwall coast, with a collection of work inspired by the pretty coastal village of Perranuthnoe, where he lives and works.
Opening on 31March and on show throughout April, the exhibition marks a new relationship between the artist and this beautiful place. Having opened his very own studio gallery in Perranuthnoe in 2016, Andrew and his family fell in love with the village and recently moved there, to a home overlooking the bay. This new series of canvases, inspired by the daily walk to his studio, and along the coastal paths that run between his home and the neighbouring beaches of Praa Sands, Kennegy and Marazion, capture the natural beauty of this wonderful part of Cornwall. Reflecting the dazzling ocean and rich natural textures of the coastal landscape, these new paintings detail breath-taking views of Perran Sands, Rinsey Head, The Greeb, Cudden Point and the spectacular coves and clifftops around Mounts Bay.
