Lhoist drive for greener future

Buxton-based Lhoist UK has this month awarded a new distribution contract to The Abbey Logistics Group. The contract will include a fleet of sixteen new 49 and 56 cubic metre vehicles, to transport a multitude of powder and liquid lime products and Lhoist brands including; Proviacal^®, Sorbacal^®, Tradical^® and Neutralac^® .

Customers of Lhoist have been told they will continue to experience the high levels of service provided now the new contract has commenced.

Abbey Logistics, established since 1991, have built an impressive reputation, winning Motor Transport Haulier of the Year and The Liverpool Daily Posts 'Green Business of the Year Award 2012' for their innovation, and dedication to a greener future.

Abbey will be taking over the total transport management of Lhoist UK and the contract entails a full range of services from transport planning right through to delivery, not only in the UK but covering parts of Europe also.
