A leading manufacturer of pedestrian stacking trucks and other mobile lifting equipment is celebrating the success of one of its most successful product lines after securing a series of orders with a combined value of more than £75,000.

During the first half of the year Wilmat Limited has seen soaring sales of its Diamond Stacker Trucks.

Most recently the Birmingham-based company supplied six modified versions to Banbury-based logistics specialists, Dematic, and another bespoke model to rubber seal and gasket manufacturer Precision Polymers.

These latest orders follow the supply of specially adapted Diamond stackers to a company in Milton Keynes that manages a community mausoleum.

Andrew Capella, Technical Director at Wilmat, explained: "We've been manufacturing the Diamond Stacker for over 40 years now and it's become one of our biggest sellers.

"Key to its success has been its suitability for a wide range of applications and its adaptability.

"The standard range has a capacity of 250 to 1000 kg with lift heights up to 3.8 m but what makes it really stand out is the infinite ways it can be modified to meet individual requirements."

The stackers can be specified with either a wrap over or straddle configuration and counter balance versions are also available.

Designed and tested to 33 per cent overload they can be manually powered or fitted with an on board battery pack with built-in charger. Customers can also specify mains or air operated lifts.

Many of the stackers are used by customers with unique lifting requirements, and they can be found in working environments as diverse as manufacturing plants and hospital mortuaries.

"The range is constantly evolving and these latest contract wins reflect our commitment to providing new and existing customers with unique handling solutions based on a proven engineering platform," Andrew added.
