Tackling stodge and lack of exercise -
without pills, potions and short term fixes

Taking pills and going on fad diets won’t get to the root cause of Britain’s overweight
problems. People have to be gently and harmlessly persuaded to stop taking stodge
and get exercising, says top hypnotherapist Edward arran.

Edward - one of the country’s top advanced practitioners, who is curing over-eaters -
says the mood of the country is that we take too many pills and potions and they are
adding to the misery, by failing to solve the root cause of the problems, besides being
expensive.

“Weaning people off their stodgy food and onto healthy eating needs more than just
over the counter dieting potions,” he said. “The cause of the problem is that quite
simply, people are eating too much of the wrong food for their own good and not
exercising. A lot of the so-called wonder cures turn out to be just short term fixes
that can lead to depression and misery because willpower is in short supply when
your body expects vast amounts of
stodge.”

In his nine years as a professional, Edward has treated many top footballers,
overweight people, eased childbirth fears and weaned clients off smoking, besides
helping doctors and nurses with stress problems.

“Overweight people today are bombarded by an ever-increasing campaign of drinks,
diets and other aids, but very often they don’t help because the problem is in the mind,”
said Shropshire-based Edward. “You cannot force your mind to accept dieting. It is an
extremely difficult and stressful thing to even contemplate because the temptations
just don’t go away. They are everywhere, on radio, TV, hoardings and in shops.
We have the evidence before us, with only a comparatively small number successfully
losing weight and migrating to a healthier diet, aided by exercise, with the rest either
giving up or just not succeeding.

“Hypnosis is a natural process, with no side effects, that allows me to persuade the
mind to help change lifestyle. Once the negative thoughts are no longer there, losing
weight can become easy. The client is in complete control all the time and fully aware
of what is going on.”

He said disappointment very often caused people to put on even more weight because
their expectations of a result from diets and potions were shattered. “It is sad that we
have  bred a generation that will not live as long as their parents because of obesity
and diabetes caused purely through diet,” he said. “Hypnotherapy can succeed where
others have failed and turn the tide, with no pills or potions.”

Edward, whose company is called Be Brilliant, said there was a perception that hypnosis
can instruct patients to do things they don’t want to do. “This is just stage hypnosis and
nothing like the kind of work I do, which involves gentle suggestions implanted in the
sub conscious to help people deal with their problems.,” he explained.

The hypnotherapist operates a number of clinics, including in a doctors surgery and soon a
dentists - and said he is making “inroads” into the overweight problem by successfully
treating an increasing number of clients who have tried everything else.
