Briggs helps Keyline raise over £125,000

for prostate charity

Leading materials handling solutions provider, Briggs Equipment, has helped its customer Keyline to raise over £125,000 for Prostate Cancer UK during a Jukebox Rally event.

Originally, Keyline hoped the rally would raise around £100,000, but the total now stands at £125,000.

Nick King, Group Credit Director at the Travis Perkins Group, and co-driver Shaun Purrington of RK Harrison Financial Risk, took part in a 2,500 mile rally from Keyline Builders Merchants (part of the Travis Perkins Group) distribution depot in Northampton to Barcelona.

Briggs sponsored Nick and Shaun £1,000 to complete the four day round trip in June dressed as members of the band, Madness to fit in with the event's ‘Jukebox' theme. The car was also kitted out with Madness memorabilia and ran along with 35 other cars representing other rock and pop acts.

Sally Baker, Marketing Manager at Briggs said: "It was our pleasure to support Keyline, which we have had a long standing relationship with for many years, and we're so thrilled with the amount of money they have raised. Nick and Shaun did a great job and we look forward to what Keyline have in store for next year's event."

Keyline began organising charitable rallies in 2010 and has so far raised an impressive £576,635.

Nick commented: "It was a fantastic event. Shaun and I both really enjoyed the challenge. We are very grateful for all the support we had from Briggs and everyone else who donated."
