Mutech appoints Business Development Manager

Manchester based Mutech Limited, the leading UK electronics design and manufacturing consultancy, has appointed John Smith as its new Business Development Manager, whose personal challenge is to double company turnover over the next two years.

John Smith has a comprehensive Sales and Marketing brief. His responsibilities include developing a strategic plan for the expansion of customer and business opportunities in Design and Manufacturing (EMS). His day-to-day activities will also include forecasting, sales process, business strategy, negotiation and account management.

A Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing John Smith has experience in a range of market sectors including oil & gas, industrial control, lighting, datacommunications, military/aerospace and telecommunications. He joined Mutech from Infoteam MS, following posts at Plessey, Marconi, AT&S GmbH and LPS Excil, where he sold and marketed Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS), Electronic Design, LED Lighting Systems, Printed Circuit Boards and RF Components throughout Europe. His knowledge of supply based management includes the auditing of PCB suppliers in mainland China.

John Smith explains his enthusiasm for the company: "I joined Mutech because of its philosophy of delivering the best possible design and manufacturing service whilst maintaining an ethical approach. MutechLtd designs, builds and tests internationally approved products for customers in the fields of hazardous areas and is involved in the design and production of electronic sensors and monitoring equipment. Areas include ATEX, IECEx, MSHA, CSA, MA and SANS.

The company embraces the wide spectrum of electronics, from specification, circuit design, software development, through approvals and testing, to prototype and low volume production.
