Spanish School incites anti-British hatred
A play by Spanish schoolchildren which advocates violence against Britain and Gibraltarians has gone viral and caused outrage.
The two-minute YouTube clip titled ‘Gibraltar Espanol' appears to be fimed in a school near Zaragoza and the parts are played by teenagers.
Three youths dressed in British apparel hold up a sign that says Gibraltar. They are then attacked by the group of young ‘actors' dressed in military uniforms with weapons and an armoured vehicle prop. They hold a banner proclaiming Gibraltar Espanol and proceed to kill the ‘British' youngsters. The parents in the audience show their vocal encouragement and applaud ecstatically.
The video has received widespread condemnation and revulsion on social networks. In comments from around the world on YouTube itself, viewers express disbelief that propaganda and xenophobia of this sort could enter the eduicationl system of a European democracy with perceived Government and educational authority approval.
Many have reported the video to YouTube as racist, offensive, abusive and an incitement to violence.
