Somerset Waste Management Company shreds the opposition to win 3 year contract from Wiltshire Council

Yeovil based waste management company M & J Bowers is celebrating the award of a three year contract that will see the Somerset business handling confidential waste from 45 different sites in Wiltshire. This is the first time that Wiltshire Council has allocated its office waste management services under one contract that will cover the whole of the county of Wiltshire.

Wiltshire Council chose the company after a tough competitive tender process which also involved a visit to the specially designed state of the art premises which M & J Bowers moved to in 2011.

"We have been operating for over 40 years and we are an independent family business and therefore able to offer a high level of flexibility to small and large businesses and organisations.

"The award of this contract means a great deal to us and is a fantastic affirmation of our core values, focusing on customer satisfaction, offering a competitive pricing strategy and remaining flexible and supportive of customer requirements."

Editor's Notes

M&J Bowers was established in 1973 at the dawn of the recycling age when John Bowers was quick to spot an emerging market that he was confident would be globally adopted and determined to be at the forefront of this new industry.

Combining wise investment and a cautious expansion programme, M&J Bowers moved to new Yeovil premises in 2011 whilst continuing to meet the growing demand for its on and off-site shredding facilities.

With exceptional customer service and commitment to improving efficiency levels through a sophisticated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System and the P&L Integrated Waste System (IWS6) along with their accreditation under the ISO standard, M&J Bowers successfully formed a strong partnership with Reisswolf International AG in January 2013, giving them a global position in the Confidential Data Destruction industry.
