New MD for Haslingden family business.

Haslingden based business supplies company Dennons has announced the appointment of Christy Barker as Managing Director, following the retirement of her father Ray Cooper.

Granddaughter of one of Dennons' original founders Alan Cooper, Christy has been employed in the family-owned business since 2001, working as Commercial Director for the past eight years.

The firm, which celebrates 50 years in business in 2014, is currently undergoing an investment in expansion which will include advanced back-office systems, more staff and a move to new premises.

Christy said:

"I'm looking forward to the new challenge of taking Dennons forward into our next half-century. I have ambitious plans for growth and I am building a team to help me achieve our goals."
