Craghoppers will once again be the Headline Sponsor for the Kendal Mountain Festival World Film Tour 2013

Leading travel and outdoor brand Craghoppers will, once again, be the headline sponsor for the 'Best of Kendal' world film tour, which is part of the Kendal Mountain Festival, taking place from the 14th - 17thNovember 2013 in Kendal, The Lake District.

 The largest, most diverse mountain festival in the world, and the main social event for outdoor enthusiasts in the UK, the Kendal Mountain Festival, will show hundreds of film screenings including high-profile premières.

 With adventure travel clothing core to the Craghoppers range, the ‘Craghoppers Best of Kendal World Film Tour' shares the brand's philosophy of being outdoors. Exploring new cultures and discovering epic places is what makes them tick. Film is all about sharing experiences and as this is something Craghoppers aims to encourage, the Kendal Mountain Festival is the ideal partner.

At this year's festival, Craghoppers will enter its own film into the ‘Best Short Film' and the ‘Best Environmental Film' categories. The Craghoppers documentary entry is made in association with the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International, who are dedicated to the conservation and protection of gorillas and their habitats in Africa. Craghoppers' partnership with the Fund not only sees the company providing clothing and equipment to the Fund's team, but also raising money through various fundraising initiatives to support their work. The documentary was filmed during a recent trip by the Craghoppers team to Rwanda to see the work of the foundation.

 The ‘Best of Kendal' will screen a selection of the 2013 Festival's winning films on Sunday 17^thNovember at the Brewery Arts Centre Theatre in Kendal. From there, these winning films will take a tour around the UK and around the world, including destinations such as Taiwan, Germany and the Czech Republic amongst others.

A group of guys in West Yorkshire were planning to climb Everest and wanted gear to withstand the harshest of conditions, so they researched and designed fabrics that would protect them from the extreme cold.
