Local couple celebrate 15-year business success
When local couple Steve and Donna Brown jumped the fence from corporate life to found their design and marketing agency bluesky 15 years ago, did they expect it to be where it is now: a thriving business with an enviable portfolio of clients ranging from their daughter's local school to global brands?
First launched in the village of Tostock, bluesky expanded and set up offices in Haughley and now reside in Mendlesham, preferring the creative environment of Suffolk's more rural locations.
A bustling agency with a dynamic design studio, creative writers, strategic thinkers and a highly focused project management team, bluesky attracts some of the region's best talent and is an active sponsor of art and design students at Suffolk New College, Ipswich.
Steve Brown, bluesky's MD, reflects on the last 15 years:
"It seems to have flown by! They say that time flies when you're having fun and we certainly do enjoy what we do here. Every day is different; we can be organising a photoshoot at Finborough School, designing and writing a bathroom brochure for B&Q and creating an ad campaign to promote Sir Richard Branson's Necker Island in the Los Angeles Times - all at the same time. The agency world has always been fast-paced and now, since the dawn of the digital age, clients (and their customers) expect things to happen even quicker. It's a good job we love to be busy!"
