ROTARIANS PASS ON COMMUNITY SPIRIT TO ILFRACOMBE SCOUT GROUP

The 1^st Ilfracombe Scout Group was delighted to receive a donation of £500 from the Rotary Club of Ilfracombe towards the work required on their new club house at the Coach House at Ilfracombe Vicarage. The Coach House is in need of a fair amount of repair and the Scouts and their families have spent many evenings and weekends doing as much of the hard work themselves as they can.

Said Nigel Vince, President of the Rotary Club of Ilfracombe, "The Rotarians fundraise to help local community projects. The Scouts' requirement for heating in their new club house is a must before they can move in and we are delighted to be able to help them. As these young Scouts grow up we know that they will pass on this community ethos to future youngsters."

The Scouts thanked Mr Vince and the Rotarians with a hearty ‘Bravo'.
