YORKSHIRE WEBSITE DELIVERS £2M ENQUIRIES IN 12 WEEKS
A company's online presence can make or break its future in today's digital marketplace, and a Yorkshire-based web services provider is warning that a new approach to websites is needed now that online searching is such an important part of the business research process.
Paul Smith of Doncaster-based Multi Web Services believes too many companies are expecting ‘online brochures' to contribute to business growth by delivering leads and sales. His company created a new website - a "virtual sales team" - for a national construction business who had all but given up on their online performance. The new site generated over £2m of sales enquiries within 12 weeks.
Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics www.pacy-wheatley-acoustics.co.uk, a division of Pacy & Wheatley Construction in Doncaster, designs and installs acoustics solutions to some of the world's most exclusive brands, including The Bank of England, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal at the Mandarin Oriental http://www.dinnerbyheston.com/, and The Bvlgari Hotel in Knightsbridge http://www.bulgarihotels.com/en-us/london/the-hotel/overview.
Pacy & Wheatley board director, Craig Wheatley said: "After several years of receiving almost zero enquiries and orders from our Acoustics website, we had almost given up on it.
"Multi Web Services did exactly what they said they would, and achieved the agreed launch date with a 100% fully functioning new website which generated more traffic in seven weeks than we had in the last 12 months combined. Since the launch date we have had nearly £2m of enquiries, in just 12 weeks."
As a result of this success, Multi Web Services has been commissioned by Pacy & Wheatley to create a new website for its construction division.
Paul Smith said: "Many companies mistakenly believe that taking their printed brochures and putting them onto the Internet will generate leads. It won't. We're offering free website reviews to organisations operating in the built environment who'd like to find out why their site isn't generating enquiries.
"Websites need to be integrated into the lead nurturing process, not created as standalone shop windows. Nowadays, people are using the Internet to source all sorts of products and services relating to construction and development. If your company's website isn't providing the right content and prompting an enquiry, you will be left behind."
Multi Web Services is offering free, no obligation website reviews for a limited period. For further information, visit www.multi-web-services.co.uk or call 01302 590 444.
