Ice Maiden Cakes - new Patisserie, Design & Bake Celebration Cake Shop in Yeovil - has all the ingredients for success!

26 November 2013: Yeovil has a number of delicious reasons to celebrate this week as Ice Maiden Cakes, a new design and bake cake shop on Church Path, Yeovil opens its doors to customers wanting to buy some of the delicious cakes and pastries produced by owner and baker Julie Gibson.

Julie has been passionate about baking since the age of five when she was inspired by her Nan's creations and she has not only inherited the knowledge of successful baking but also the secret ingredients that go into creating culinary masterpieces that keep customers returning again and again.

Ice Maiden Cakes was established by Julie four years ago to provide bespoke wedding and celebration cakes to customers looking for an innovative, contemporary and creative (not to mention tasty!) approach to the centrepiece of their special celebration.

Julie says, "The new Yeovil shop gives a customer who loves cake a place to seek inspiration for a celebration as well as a shop which can offer really good baking advice and equipment for those who want to make their own creations. Ice Maiden Cakes will be a real creative hub for people who love baking as well as those who are looking for something more contemporary and fun."

Wedding cakes are a particular service that Julie will be offering to customers and she will advise and guide customers through the design process to ensure that every cake is perfect for their unique and special day. She says, "The service starts with your no-obligation consultation where we meet with you to discuss your ideas, your style and your tastes. If you have something specific in mind then with the help of our "Tea and Cake Tasting Session" we will work with you to achieve your vision of the perfect wedding cake. And of course the perfect wedding cake also has to taste delicious so you will be able to sample some of our classic recipes too."

After the consultation Julie produces design sketches so that customers can visualise their wedding cake together with a comprehensive quote. This includes the detail of the design and flavour choices and includes all costs such as stand hire, delivery and set-up costs where applicable so there are no nasty surprises when it comes to settling the bill.

Ice Maiden Cakes recommends its wedding cake delivery and set-up service as transporting wedding cakes is a specialised and somewhat nerve wracking business! The company delivers to venues throughout Somerset, Dorset and Devon ensuring that the centre piece of the wedding reception arrives in mint condition and is beautifully presented. Also a selection of stands is available ranging from traditional silver base stands to modern ceramic pedestal stands to 10 tier cupcakes towers.

The shop will also run a range of workshops and courses, and will retail Sugarcraft and professional baking equipment. On top of all that Ice Maiden Cakes will be providing a delicious daily range of pastries and cakes that will defy customers to walk by without popping in to sample first!
