About Matt Woosey
Matt Woosey, is a British blues singer, songwriter and guitarist born and raised in Worcester - not your ‘typical' blues background. Starting out as a drummer at the age of 15 he soon took up the guitar and became so proficient that this became the bedrock of his music writing and his muscular voice provides a Roger Chapman-like vibrato.
With over 250 gigs a year, Woosey brings his stage craft to his albums with each track having a stage performance feel to them which brings them to life. To date Woosey has received great accolades and with new albums scheduled for release and tours of UK, USA, Canada, South Africa and Europe planned, 2014 looks to be Woosey's year.
Tom Robinson, "The Real Deal. Completely convincing and a master at what he does"
BluesNews.de, "Woosey is amongst the most promising new names in British blues"
Music-News.com, "What makes this rather special is the sheer originality of his playing and singing"
