Christmas donation to children's hospice

A Halesowen-based company that supplies heavy-duty vehicle lifts has raised £300 for a children's hospice in the run up to the festive season.

Instead of sending Christmas cards to each other, staff at SOMERSTOTALKARE took it upon themselves to make a donation to Acorns, which offers a network of care for life limited and life threatened children and young people, and their families, across the Midlands.

The company also joined in the fundraising by matching the efforts of employees, rather than sending out corporate cards to customers and suppliers.

Tim Jackson, the firm's Managing Director, commented: "This year we decided that the best way to celebrate the festive season was to support a very worthy cause.

"Acorns does fantastic work and relies on donations from businesses and individuals to continue its support for seriously ill children, young people and their families.

"Although we are not sending out cards this year, we would still like to wish our customers, suppliers and everyone else associated with SOMERSTOTALKARE a very happy Christmas and prosperous New Year," he added.
