High growth Lancashire business have Europe in their sights
On Friday 17th January, Lancashire based bonding
and adhesives company Innova Solutions, officially opened their second
warehouse at their HQ in Colne. The high
growth company who primarily cater to the sign industry in the UK & Europe,
have seen improvements across all areas of the business, including record sales
and expansion of the workforce.
The new warehouse development has been possible
not only because of sales growth but also due to Innova Solutions being
identified for the government funded Growth Accelerator programme, which
assists high growth companies in achieving more. £70,000 worth of funding was also secured from
the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE). Officially opened by Andrew Stephenson MP, the
state of the art warehouse was constructed by local firm Dale Contractors and
designed to fit perfectly into the scenic rural backdrop of Trawden.
Andrew
Stephenson, MP for Pendle, said;
“Small
businesses are really critical to the economy, what we’ve seen over the last
three years is 300,000 new small businesses open, but seeing businesses like
Innova Solutions expand, take on more people and work towards more exports is
really, really encouraging.”
Additional storage space provided by the new
warehouse will aid Innova Solutions in their aim to continue their already
brilliant success with European exporting as well as boost their potential for
increased domestic sales. Europe is high
on the agenda for Innova this year, following on from their huge success over
the past 12 months. Innova's success with European exports bucks the trend for Lancashire firms,
with Enterprise Europe Network North (EENW) warning small businesses in
Lancashire recently that they're overlooking European markets. As well as
huge European success, the record breaking sales figures are thanks in part to
the launch of a line of cutting-edge photoluminescent materials and NovaBond
'XS' High Strength Bonding Tapes, developed to deliver increased performance at
no extra cost to the consumer.
Glenn Dunleavey, Managing Director at Innova
Solutions, said;
“This year has been going particularly well,
we’re looking to grow the business 30% in gross profit terms and the futures
looking very bright for us and we’re aiming to get to 25% export. People tend
to like British firms and British products, every time we get on a plane and go
and see someone in Europe we come back with a new customer and an order.
