Advanced Handling predicts big year for mezzanine goods lifts
Industry experts point to recovering economy and tighter regulations for source of higher interest in handling solutions in 2014.
Advanced Handling, a leading manufacturer in the materials handling sector, is bracing itself for a surge in demand for mezzanine goods lifts this year. The company, recognising a growing appetite for goods lifts, has recently launched a dedicated mezzanine goods lifts website.
Public, commercial and industrial sectors throughout the UK are thought to be extending their investment in materials handling solutions, to support a drive towards lean manufacturing and to adhere to safety regulations.
Advanced Handling has seen a growing number of enquiries and sales of their mezzanine goods lifts' over the last twelve months. Commenting on the increased growth, Managing Director, Mike Prince explained; "I believe the growth in demand we've seen is in line with the increasing strength and confidence felt within UK manufacturing."
In response to the growth in demand for Advanced Handling's mezzanine goods lifts, Mike Prince continued; "Our customers are looking for solutions which will help them meet their increasing customer demands - they want to grow, create more space and implement more efficient processes to speed up their operations. A mezzanine goods lift provides this solution."
Advanced Handling have their own in house technical design team and onsite manufacturing facility in Peterborough, where in 2012 they developed their existing light duty goods only lift and launched a standard modular lift for maximum load capacities of 250 kg - the MezzLite. With a great response from the industry at IMHX 2013, Advanced Handling has seen demand of their goods lifts raise with orders and installations increasing during 2013.

Big year for mezzanine goods lifts/ 2
Safety is a critical issue in identifying materials handling solutions, and the safety features of the Advanced Handling mezzanine goods lift range come as standard to meet current regulations and are CE marked. Talking about safety in design, David Goss, Technical Director explains; "Our mezzanine goods lifts are designed as a solution for our customer's handling issues, and our approach here is to offer a solution which might involve modifications to ensure the lift is suitable to the load, environment and operational usage and therefore will perform to their expectations."
The shift in the British economy has a big part to play according to Advanced Handling, and they believe if the economy continues to bounce back as it did last year - particularly in the manufacturing industry - they will see more mezzanine goods lift sales in 2014.
Managing Director, Mike Prince commented on the anticipated increase; "A large number of our mezzanine goods lift customers work in the manufacturing industry, from automotive to food and drink, and combined with the launch of our new microsite, we're very optimistic about what this year will bring."
