PRESS RELEASE

Release date: 18th February  2014

Bridge PR elevated by first new contract of 2014

A Coventry based PR firm has got 2014 off to a bright start after being awarded the public relations account for crash energy management expert Oleo International.

Bridge PR & Media Services, which already has a significant presence within the construction and engineering sector, will manage a campaign for the Coventry based engineering firm to position it as a world leader within energy absorption.

Part of the wider T A Savery and Co Group, Oleo International designs, manufactures and supplies all of its products in the UK and China, with worldwide distribution. The company is a world-leading specialist provider of energy absorption products across multiple sectors, with a focus on the elevator, railway and industrial markets. Oleo International supplies safety-critical products and services such as buffer equipment designed to protect people from forces generated from an impact as a result of equipment failure or operator error.

The campaign managed by Bridge will see Oleo International positioned as international leaders in energy absorption products and applications; as well as a Midlands company that is helping to develop the next generation of engineers through its apprenticeship programme. The campaign will use traditional forms of PR targeting a variety of international construction and engineering publications.  The PR brief also includes work for Oleo’s partner Savery Hydraulics, a leading expert in the design and manufacture of hydraulic solutions, electro-hydraulic solutions, and small individual industrial units.

Bridge was awarded the contract based on previous campaigns they had managed for one of Oleo International’s suppliers. The company’s previous experience within the construction and engineering sectors was also a major factor in the appointment.

Sandy Andringa, Marketing Manager at Oleo International said: “Bridge came recommended to us as a company with a proven track record in the engineering sector. We are excited to be working with them, and they will prove vital in helping us launch a number of upcoming products. The knowledge they hold of the engineering industry will ensure our products and brand will successfully reach the engineering sector on a global level.”

Bridge has worked with a number of clients in the construction and engineering sector for over 15 years, and as a result has a detailed knowledge and what methods of PR and marketing prove most effective for achieving their client’s goals. The new contract comes at a time of major growth for the company, which saw 2013 as its most successful year in the firm’s history.

Managing Director, Denise Taylor, said “We are delighted to be working with Oleo International in 2014 and supporting them on a number of their product launches. Oleo International is a Coventry based firm with an international presence, one of the true British engineering champions based in our region. Through a strategic PR campaign we aim to help the firm become recognised as a global leader in energy absorption on an international scale.
