UK's FIRST DEDICATED BUY TO LET NATIONAL LISTINGS SITE LAUNCHED

BUY2LET.com has been established by three seasoned property professionals to create a vital portal to enable estate agents and their vendors of residential property investments to reach the national and international buyers market. Uniquely. interested investors will be able to search the property listings by yield, as well as the more traditional criteria of size, location and so on.

The team is following the very successful lead of Nicola Horlick and Kevin Macleod in seeking to raise £150,000 of funding for the venture through the rapidly emerging crowd funding market by using the FCA regulated Crowdcube.com

An estimated 1 in 5 properties in the UK are rented, with a value of some £990 billion, £45 billion worth of property being added every year.

A recent ARLA (Association of Letting Agents) survey found that 13% of residential landlords expect to sell part of their portfolio in the coming year but 25% intend to buy! This is a huge number of transactions. Currently vendors have a limited range of marketing options.

The BUY2LET.com property portal is aimed squarely at putting the sellers and buyers of both tenanted and vacant investments together through this new web portal listing service. Each property listing will feature illustrated details of the property along with all the information the purchaser needs to make an informed choice.

Major property agents are showing interest in using BUY2LET.com to market available properties to a wider and more complete group of investors, to work towards much greater market penetration, to be able to reach a fully national and international market.. This 'first stop' web site will also feature news stories and advertising for financial institutions, lawyers and other associated professions who serve the residential investment sector.

The enterprise will produce income solely through the sales of listings and from advertising. It will take no part in the transaction.

BUY2LET.com does not intend to compete with major sites servicing the owner occupier market but instead will become a focused complementary niche player serving this booming and important specialist investment sector.

Founder Martin Wilkinson said ' BUY2LET.com will, for the first time, enable buyers and sellers of residential investments to easily compare the property's most important feature - its annual percentage return. Additionally those people looking to make any kind of investment will be able to compare Buy 2 Let yields with other types of asset."
