Savery Hydraulics signs deal with Jaguar Land Rover to keep engineering in the UK

A world leading manufacturer of hydraulic solutions has helped to keep engineering in the UK after signing a significant deal to supply a hydraulic ring main system to Jaguar Land Rover's Gaydon plant.

Savery Hydraulics, based in Coventry, beat off international competition to be awarded with the contract to design and manufacture a brand new ring main system for Jaguar Land Rover. The new system will provide Jaguar Land Rover with core hydraulic power for operations of standard test rigs up to full vehicle road simulations.

In an interesting twist, it was Savery Hydraulics that designed and manufactured Jaguar Land Rover's previous ring main system 30 years ago. The new system is being designed to Jaguar Land Rover's exact specifications and will supersede the previous solution. The technical design and manufacturing capabilities of Savery Hydraulics were key to helping the company win the contract.

Savery Hydraulics pledged to design and manufacture a high quality, technical product at the right price for the company. In securing the contract, Savery Hydraulics has strengthened its relationship with Jaguar Land Rover, an association that has already been in place for the past few decades. The deal will also prove instrumental to the UK economy as it keeps engineering work in the UK.

Bob Peacock, Managing Director of Savery Hydraulics said: "It is excellent news that we are able to continue our long standing relationship with Jaguar Land Rover, a world leader in the premium automotive market and we are delighted that they found our solution the best functional fit for the job."

Savery Hydraulics has been associated with British engineering since 1698 when the company specialised inthe manufacture of steam engines. Since then the business has consistently diversified and is now a world leader in the design and manufacture of hydraulic solutions, covering an entire range from small self-contained power units to highly complex large bespoke systems.

The hydraulic ring main system being supplied to Jaguar Land Rover is currently being integrated into the entire building project against a tight timescale.
