London Borough of Newham (LBN) celebrated their inaugural YES awards, at their offices on the 6thMarch. They celebrated, along with training provider Quest, the past years apprentices graduating from the scheme and presented a series of awards to those distinguished Apprentices. Five out of six of the award winners and runners up were Quest trained apprentices.

The YES scheme supports the development and growth of the LBN's community by providing local youth with an opportunity to build a life and successful career. Together, over 15 years, Quest and LBN have successfully guided YES Apprentices through Business Administration and IT Apprenticeships, effectively progressing them in their career and education.

Jelani Ahmed, received runner-up in Best Improved Apprentice of the Year,"I loved every minute of the programme. Quest is an excellent and helpful training provider who, along with LBN, supported me on an individual basis with the successful completion of my qualification".

Since 1991, through their partnership with Quest and other specialist providers, LBN have advanced 368 young people through their YES scheme and have continued investing in Newham's community and economic development.
