Local firm heads for national recognition.
Lancashire based business supplies firm Dennons has been shortlisted for a prestigious national customer service award.
The company, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, is a finalist in the Family Business Place Red Ribbon Awards (Customer First category). Believed to be the only awards which recognise family businesses regardless of size or industry, previous winners include household names such as TV chef Michel Roux junior and favourite royal hotel The Goring.
Dennons was nominated by a longstanding customer and will now go forward to judging by an independent panel consisting of previous winners, sponsors and experts from the family business sector.
Dennons Managing Director Christy Barker said:
"I am the third generation of my family to run this business and we are still hungry for success after 50 years in operation. We are delighted to be nominated for a customer service award as our entire team works hard to keep our promises every day. We are looking for local talent to join us and are investing in our e-commerce offering this year, with a view to future success."
