KNAPP to strengthen its reputation as a logistics pioneer at CeMAT

Global warehouse automation group, KNAPP AG, will showcase its innovative solutions for storage, picking, sortation and transport at the CeMAT exhibition in Hanover from 19 to 23 May.

With the objective of ‘Making Complexity Simple', KNAPP has brought far-reaching changes to the logistics world over the past 60 years and continues to invest heavily in R&D to provide further innovative developments to warehouses worldwide. The group is focused on realising solutions for the e-commerce, retail, pharma, fashion and food sectors that are not only successful but also sustainable in terms of longevity, space optimisation and energy efficiency.

KNAPP's pursuit of the ‘Zero Defect Warehouse' means a focus on intelligent processes that prevent rather than detect and correct errors. In a world of ever-tighter legislation around supply chain transparency and spiralling costs for returns handling, the benefits of this are clear. Key to KNAPP's success here has been the development of its revolutionary KiSoft Vision image recognition technology, employed both for user guidance and workstation monitoring.

Onstand F29 of hall 27 atCeMAT, KNAPP will promote its state-of-the-art intralogistics solutions. These will include KNAPP'sOSR ShuttleTM, the proven automated storage and retrieval system for order picking or dispatch sortation, as well as the highly ergonomicPick-it-Easy Workstationsthat this shuttle-based technology serves. Another highlight will be thePocket Sorter, an overhead conveying system that utilises matrix sortation technology to sequence articles within orders, a solution that is especially suited to e-commerce and multichannel warehouses. With itsPick-it-Easy Robot, KNAPP is taking a step closer to fully automatic picking using robotics. This system usesKiSoft Vision image analysis technology todetect the best item to pick among randomly oriented articles in a tote, based on the amount of accessible surface area.

KNAPP will also promote its360° serviceconcept at CeMAT, showing visitors how its wide range of after-sales services provides customers with individually tailored and long-term support in their daily operations, allowing them to concentrate on their core business. When it comes to customer service,Making Complexity Simple' means realising solutions that are intuitively user-friendly and easy to maintain.
