New area sales manager for Cooper SH

An expanding materials handling solutions provider has strengthened it's sales team in the North West with the appointment of a new Area Sales Manager.

Based at Cooper Materials Handling's new headquarters at Trafford Park, Manchester, Gareth Baxendale, joins the company after working in the warehousing industry for the past 10 years.

The 30-year-old is now responsible for building relationships with businesses of all sizes in the Manchester area, and hopes to draw on his experience as a warehouse manager with a major logistics company.

"Over the years I've built up a lot of contacts in the warehousing and logistics sector and understand it's needs and requirements.

"I'm excited at the prospect of helping them to find cost effective materials handling solutions, and the chance to be part of a growing company with an exciting product range was too good an opportunity to miss."

A former student at Upholland High School, Wigan, Gareth was born in Liverpool and now lives in the town where he went to school. A devoted Evertonian, he is married with two young children and outside work enjoys golf and mixed martial arts.

Following Gareth's appointment, Cooper MH Managing Director, David Cooper, commented: "We are delighted to welcome Gareth to the team, his experience, knowledge of the local market and his enthusiasm will be important to our success as we look to introduce the Maximal range of forklifts and handling equipment to the UK."
