PRESS RELEASE

Recovery group expands throughout the Midlands

A Coventry-based business recovery expert has signalled its intent to expand its market presence with the appointment of a new, experienced Director.

Cranfield Business Recovery, which together with Cranfield Business Finance forms the Cranfield Group of companies, has appointed a new director. Nigel Chilvers brings 10 years' experience in business recovery to the firm and demonstrates the commitment of the Group to continue to expand its brand. The appointment follows the launch of Cranfield Business Finance, which has already secured a number of major financial deals for companies across the West Midlands.

Although corporate insolvencies were down by 7.9% in 2013 according to figures published by the Insolvency Service, Cranfield has continued to experience strong growth, and maintain its competitive edge in challenging times. Managing Director, Tony Mitchell, attributes this to the breadth of services the Cranfield Group provides.

"Insolvency services are just one part of our business. Nigel's skills and experience gained in this industry over the past 10 years will add to this significantly, but he will also play a key role in our future business development as we expand further into different sectors.

"Key to our success to date has been our diverse mix of services, underpinned by the wider business knowledge of our directors, which has enabled us to help steer many businesses out of trouble and into more profitable times."

Cranfield is a well known and respected company throughout Coventry and Warwickshire, with its current directors taking proactive roles at the Chamber of Commerce and Coventry & Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership. The company regularly sponsors local cultural projects and was the first gold sponsor of the Cultural Olympiad Godiva Awakes in 2012. The Cranfield Group are also recognised for hosting unusual social events that are well attended by local businesses.

Nigel Chilvers, said "It's an exciting time to be joining such a progressive company as Cranfield, which has a strong reputation in the financial services sector throughout the region. The company has gone from strength to strength in the past decade and I'm looking forward to contributing to their success at a time when they are building their presence across the Midlands region with plans to open new offices across central England."
