Barnsley is asking what your perception of the town is from a business point of view. Please tell them your thoughts herehttp://svy.mk/1psaGBl.

Located equidistant between Leeds, Sheffield and Doncaster, Barnsley has plans for the future growth of its business economy. Millions are being invested into the town centre and it has recently been announced that Sheffield City Region Enterprise Zone is to almost double in size, including expansions in Barnsley.

Barnsley also sits within the Leeds City Region which has already facilitated millions of pounds worth of investment in businesses in the area. With such positive business potential the area is positioning itself as a prime location within the Yorkshire region.

The private sector led Barnsley Economic Partnership was recently created to help Barnsley to create sound strategy for its business development.

A major success for the borough is ASOS who selected Barnsley as their location of choice, thanks to a competitive cost base and have since created 3,500 jobs.

Diana Terris, the chief executive of Barnsley Council, is leading the forward thinking inward investment team. They want to know what you think of Barnsley as a location for your business, or if already located in Barnsley what are your thoughts and plans for expansion?

Once known for mining, the mines are now long gone but the legacy of the pits is a vast expansion of land that brings opportunities for business sectors requiring land space, such as distribution and freight.

Education performance is on the up, giving Barnsley the chance to become a key player in regional economic growth. The town has a large number of excellent cultural assets, and the borough has lots of green space, stretching to the edge of the peak district. The town centre has seen significant regeneration in recent years, including the development of new offices and apartments.

Tell Barnsley your perception and let your views shape the Barnsley of the future. Please click here to take the survey. (http://svy.mk/1psaGBl)
