Q-Park UK nominated for a European Parking Award

Q-Park is proud to announce that its London Micromobility Hubs, developed in partnership with Port, have been nominated for a prestigious European Parking Award.

The European Parking Awards, established by the European Parking Association (EPA) in 1997, recognize excellence in parking design, management, innovation, and customer service across Europe. Held biennially, the awards aim to highlight outstanding contributions that enhance the quality and efficiency of parking facilities and services, promoting sustainable urban mobility and improved urban environments. Categories typically include new parking structures, renovated car parks, on-street parking projects, and innovations in parking services or technology. By showcasing best practices, the awards encourage the adoption of forward-thinking solutions and foster a culture of continuous improvement in the parking industry.

Q-Park was nominated in the category that recognises initiatives which have successfully championed the development of support structures and services aimed at leveraging the parking sector to benefit smart urban mobility. This category celebrates projects that go beyond traditional parking solutions by integrating innovative technologies, user-centric services, and sustainable practices that align with the goals of modern, intelligent city planning. Successful entries in this category demonstrate how parking infrastructure and services can play a transformative role in enhancing urban transport ecosystems—such as by supporting multimodal transport, enabling seamless connectivity between different mobility options, and reducing congestion and environmental impact.

Q-Park's collaboration with Port exemplifies this through the integration of Micromobility Hubs across key London locations. These hubs combine traditional parking with e-bike services directly addressing urban challenges such as congestion, emissions, and inefficient deliveries. By providing infrastructure for electric deliveries and shared mobility, the hubs reduce fossil fuel reliance and support cleaner air, improved public health, and more efficient transport systems. With round-the-clock operations, secure access, fleet automation, and innovative hardware, the hubs not only enhance operational efficiency for couriers but also create scalable, community-focused mobility models. This initiative positions Q-Park at the forefront of sustainable urban transformation, aligning perfectly with the spirit of the award category.

Adam Bidder, Managing Director at Q-Park UK commented ‘We're delighted to be nominated once again for a European Parking Award. This recognition highlights excellence across the European parking sector, and it's an honour to see Q-Park acknowledged among the industry's leading innovators.'
