4See Group opens for business in Abu Dhabi

Market leading Health, Safety and Environmental consultancy, 4See Group are opening new horizons by setting up an office in Abu Dhabi.

The Towcester-based company, who are celebrating their 10^thyear in business, are looking to capitalise on expansion in the United Arab Emirates region as a whole, with Abu Dhabi being the perfect location. The new venture is being led by 4See Director Leigh Hayman. Kathryn O'Sullivan, of 4See Asbestos is now based in Abu Dhabi looking to develop opportunities across the entire 4See buinsess.

Said Leigh Hayman: "We chose Abu Dhabi because we already had good contacts there and this is where many of the big decisions are made for the region. We very much see ourselves as market leading in the fields of health and safety and compliance management as a whole and are looking at the development of strategy for government and multi national businesses in the UAE."

Abu Dhabi and the other Emirates have seen a vast expansion of building in the past three decades - an expansion where health and safety issues have not been given the importance they are given in the UK. But Kathryn O'Sullivan sees signs that attitudes are changing.

She said: "There is generally a growing culture of awareness about health and safety issues in the UAE. For example, the federal cabinet commented that the nation needs a stronger culture of safety, and not just in the construction industry but across society. Since January, schools are now being inspected for health and safety standards so we are talking to a few of them about getting them up to scratch.

"Generally there are great opportunities opening up in a number of fields - not just construction - and we will be ideally placed to offer our services and expertise to take advantage of these opportunities."

Leigh Hayman is confident the future is bright in Abu Dhabi.

"We will firmly establish 4See in the area," he said. "I am certain we can make this a very successful area for the company."
