UK TEACHERS TO GET A LESSON IN OFF-SITE BUILD

TEACHERS GET A LESSON IN OFF SITE BUILD

Northern Ireland off-site construction specialists The McAvoy Group will be at the Academies Show Excel London on April 30, where it will showcase its modern methods of construction at stand number 225.

McAvoy is a major player in the Education sector in the UK and Ireland, having achieved accredited supplier status on a number of key UK frameworks, including Education Funding Agency (EFA), Crown Procurement Service (CCS), Hampshire and Surrey County Council, Lewisham London Borough Council, Shropshire Council, Staffordshire County Council and Ceredigion County Council for school buildings provision.

McAvoy has successfully completed five schools as part of a number of EFA contracts awarded last year worth a total of £55m. The UK projects handed over to date include NAS Thames Valley in Reading, Grindon Hall Christian School, Tyne & Wear, Krishna Avanti Primary School (KAPS) in Middlesex and Churchill Special Free School in Suffolk.

The company is currently in the process of delivering another seven school projects - two of which are awaiting planning consent, Lynch Hill Enterprise Academy in Slough and Nanaskar Primary School, Middlesex with the remaining at the detailed design and development stage.

The Academies Show is attended by influential UK educators, making it one of the most important events in the national schools' calendar.
