Quality service requires quality product

A Hertfordshire-based commercial vehicle workshop has invested in the latest heavy-duty lifts from SOMERSTOTALKARE as it looks to expand its extensive range of services.

A DAF dealership since 2007, Foulgers CVS Ltd has purchased a set of six cable free lifts to work alongside its existing cabled equipment, which is also set for a full refurbishment by SOMERSTOTALKARE.

The move follows the opening of a new workshop solely for MOT testing.

After taking delivery of a set of six S6cf lifts, Glenn Foulger Managing Director commented: "Having six cable free lifts give us the flexibility to use the them as a set of four for smaller vehicles, or a set of six if we are lifting larger vehicles such as bin wagons."

"This flexibility is important to us, as is the added benefit of a cable free system from a health and safety point of view."

Founded in 1974 as a general haulage company, the family-owned business soon expanded into servicing other commercial vehicles in addition to its own fleet.

Although it is no longer a transport operator, Foulgers has continued to expand and recently developed a bespoke, in-house MOT scheduling system.

It currently maintains and services around 200 vehicles, predominantly DAF trucks but its also carries out work on other specialist vehicles such as bespoke horseboxes and ambulances.
