Remove My Car to showcase new auction as headline CARS sponsor

Good morning,

I'm emailing from Bridge PR, we work with vehicle recycling specialist Remove My Car, and I'm getting in touch to let you know that the company has been announced as a headline sponsor of CARS, which will be held on June 5 and 6 in Doncaster.

The sponsorship comes of the back of a great year for Remove My Car, whose online ELV auction has seen ATFs receive more information on the ELVs that they bid for. Additionally, the auction has seen motorists and motor traders alike receive 14% for their ELVs.

It'd be great if you could feature this release somewhere for us, if you need any more information then please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Many thanks,

Andy

PRESS RELEASE

Release date: April 2013

Remove My Car to showcase new auction as headline CARS sponsor

Vehicle recycling expert Remove My Car will showcase its innovative new online auction system as it attends CARS 2014 as one of the event's headline sponsors this June.

The event, which takes place from 5-6June at the Motorhog End of Life Vehicles (ELV) recycling facility in Doncaster, will mark Remove My Car's first ever exhibition at the premier automotive recycling trade show and comes off-the-back of a very successful year for the recycling specialist.

The company recently launched its innovative and unique online auction system which aims to provide its customers with the best price available for their end of life vehicles (ELVs), inviting Authorised Treatment Facilities (ATFs) from around the country to bid in an online auction environment.

ATFs will have exclusive access to their own online profile which will allow them to access important information about an ELV sent to auction and bid within 30 minutes, returning a fast, final bid for the car. The seller then has the option to accept the figure once the auction's finished.

The aim is to provide ATFs with access to better quality vehicles across the country, and they'll also be able to filter by age, make and model in specific postcode regions.

As part of the auction, which is the first of its kind in the industry, the company has also partnered with automotive industry charity BEN through its ‘Give a Scrap' scheme and has already donated over £4,000 from recycled vehicles towards the cause.

Remove My Car will be offering visitors to its stand a chance to experience the real-time auction for themselves and showcasing its new user friendly website which allows motor traders to have access to their own eBay style account, where they can make offers for ELVs through the auction. As part of Remove My Car's participation in CARS, the company will also sponsor the main attraction of the show; a life sized racing track that allows visitors to take a break from the show and race against each other using remote controlled cars.

The bi-annual CARS (Complete Auto Recycling and Secondary materials) event is now in its third year, and 2014's is set to the biggest yet, with more exhibitors already registered, and increased visitor numbers expected throughout the two-day event. The trade show is Europe's largest event for ELV and metal recyclers and the only one to be held at a working salvage yard. The first CARS event, which took place in 2012, attracted 76 exhibitors and over 800 visitors from more than 20 countries including USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and across Europe.

Steve Queen, Managing Director at Remove My Car explained why he chose to sponsor the trade event:"The CARS trade show is well known throughout the vehicle recycling industry. Itoffers significant opportunities and showcases a number of new developments within the ELV sector. We are proud to be sponsoring the event and are excited about showing visitors how our online auction system works and how it can benefit those in the motor trade."

Iona Smith, CARS Event Director, commented: "We are delighted to have Remove My Car confirmed as the headline sponsor for CARS 2014. The event brings together automotive and metal recycling professionals from across the world that are all keen to share experiences and gather information on the latest products and services available from market leaders, such as Remove My Car."

CARS is organised by Environment Media Group, publishers of letsrecycle.com, and supported by a host of leading trade associations including Auto Body Professionals' Club (ABP), British Metals Recycling Association (BMRA), British Vehicle Salvage Federation (BVSF) and Motor Vehicle Dismantlers' Association (MVDA) - as well as international trade associations from Canada, the USA, Europe and Japan.
