INTELLIGENT TELEMATICS TO SHARE VEHICLE CAMERA EXPERTISE AT MERCEDES-BENZ VANEXPERIENCE LIVE 2014
Intelligent Telematics will be showcasing the most advanced vehicle camera solution currently available at the Mercedes-Benz VanExperience LIVE 2014 event. The company will be demonstrating the IT1000 3G forward-facing camera at the event, which is being held over two consecutive weeks in June at Prodrive’s circuit in Warwickshire.
VanExperience LIVE, now in its eleventh year, is attended by around 2,000 Mercedes-Benz customers and provides an opportunity to test and sample a wide selection of Mercedes-Benz Vans and products. The event will also provide an opportunity view some of the latest technology solutions available to fleet operators, including the forward-facing camera from Intelligent Telematics.
The IT1000 combines video, telematics and 3/4G technologies to capture and transmit footage of accidents and other harsh driving events in real-time, with unrivalled accuracy and camera technology that is sixteen times more powerful than existing solutions. Unlike other vehicle cameras that only record to an in-device SD card, the IT1000 transmits footage of accidents and near misses via a secure 3/4G private network to a web-based interface with real-time email and SMS alerts, so a triggered event can be viewed within minutes of it occurring.
Sam Footer, Head of International
Business and Strategic Development at Intelligent Telematics said: “Our latest
camera solutions not only reduce the severity and frequency of vehicle fleet
insurance claims by enabling operators to respond quickly and effectively to
accidents, but also help modify driving styles and minimise potential fleet
risks. Fleet Operators and Insurers alike are increasingly embracing 3G Vehicle
Camera technology in order to achieve immediate claim intervention and benefit
from the recognisable costs savings that are derived from implementing this
technology. We are pleased to be demonstrating these industry leading solutions
at VanExperience LIVE, while offering guidance and advice to the attending
fleet decision makers.”
