The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret - stoneware vessel by Naomi Robinson
Naomi Robinson works from her studio in Liverpool designing and creating wheel thrown ceramic vessels that refer to mourning, loss and remembrance. Naomi explores human emotion with her ceramic vessels, focusing on what we can remember of our lost loved ones, she distorts and alters words creating secrets and hidden messages, messages then displayed inside the vessels.
‘The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret' is a hand thrown stoneware vessel with torn detail. The torn detailing breaks the piece down revealing the secrets that lie inside, allowing the viewer to peer inside to discover what lies within. The hidden text has areas that appear worn and faded, and these represent how memories and grief may fade over a period of time.
The vessel measures 14.5cms tall and 8cms wide.
All Naomi Robinson vessels can be ordered with your own words.
