AA Projects, a specialist consultancy in many sectors including project management and facilities management, recently spoke of their involvement in sourcing funding for academies across the UK, assisting many to gain the special funding for necessary projects and improvements.
Expressing enjoyment at the news that the Academies Capital Maintenance Fund (ACMF) announced funding worth £35 million to be distributed and presented to educational academies that have an academy order or who have converted since December last year, AA Projects are proud of the funding that they have been successful in acquiring to date.
With funds being allocated to allow academies across the UK to improve amenities and buildings in need of repair, carrying out restoration of those in poor condition that require urgent work, funding is imperative to the continual maintenance of historical and important structures and premises.
In 2013, AA Projects worked hard to achieve a very promising 70% success rate, securing over £125 million of well needed financial assistance to date for academies across Britain. With the latest achievement secured, AA Projects have been effective in sourcing these funds to maximise the potential for improvements and repairs to academic institutions. Forecast figures are set within the half a million pound mark for each converted academy or those with an academy order.
This year the closing date for the first round of applications was at midday on the 31st January, for which AA Projects were fully prepared for. This first round for the 2014 to 2015 financial year was for academies (schools, colleges and universities) to improve the condition of school buildings and to also accommodate the expansion of facilities too, with all distribution of funds being administered by the EFA or Education Funding Agency.
Round 2 funding guidelines for 2014 – 2015 were released by the EFA earlier this year and in principle aim funding towards those academies that, as mentioned earlier, are recently converted or hold academy orders. To qualify for the chance to receive funding, projects have to address specific building conditions such as structural defects, improvements that can enhance the efficiency of an academy or have a clear need for funding to address compliance issues, including health and safety issues. The deadline for any projects seeking funding is the 21st July 2014, so the advice from AA Projects is to contact the experts if your academic buildings require government funding.
AA Projects carry out their services expertly, acting as negotiating professionals to gain the best possible funding for their clients and ensuring works are carried out to exemplary levels of quality and impeccable standards.
