Hertfordshire Growth Hub helps 300 businesses
Milestone announced at the Growth Hub's Official Launch
Since its launch in April this year, the Hertfordshire Growth Hub has been supporting local companies to grow their business with the 300thbusiness being supported this week.
The Growth Hub matches established businesses in Hertfordshire that possess the drive and potential to grow with the highest quality locally-sourced support and expertise to help them achieve their business ambitions. In addition, businesses can receive free expert advice on business growth as well information on funding available for business development.
The Growth Hub was developed in close collaboration with the University of Hertfordshire and the Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership to ensure that Hertfordshire businesses could access high quality local business support.
The milestone figure of 300 businesses receiving support from the Hertfordshire Growth Hub comes during the week of its official launch at the University of Hertfordshire's flagship ‘Accelerate Success' event, promoting the University's world-class services for business.
Julie Newlan MBE, Pro Vice Chancellor of Enterprise at the University of Hertfordshire launched the Growth Hub in front of 80 local businesses at the ‘Accelerate Success' event on 23rdJune. The event showcased the breadth of expertise at the university and how its commercial services can help accelerate growth and improve profitability. The event programme boasted a line-up of first class speakers including Prof. Richard Wiseman for the University of Hertfordshire (pictured) and Jo Fairley, co-founder of Green and Black's Chocolate.
Hertfordshire Growth Hub Manager, Amanda Freeland says, "We are delighted that the Growth Hub has been able to support so many Hertfordshire businesses since its inception. Working in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire has meant that we can bring the world-class academic expertise that is right on our doorstep to support the on-going growth of Hertfordshire businesses."
