500 mile charity ride for special needs a ‘monumental achievement’ says Jubilee Automotive Group
Motability giant, Jubilee Automotive Group Ltd (JAG) celebrates the efforts of riders who recently took part in the Pedal for Props ‘Bristol to Bordeaux 2014’ charity bike ride

The team of 60 cyclists took to the road on the 2nd July and arrived at their destination on the 5th July, raising well over their £50,000 fundraising target for PROPS, a charity that offers support and opportunities to individuals with special needs. Riders from across the South West, cycling as part of corporate teams and individual riders averaged between a staggering 80 and 125 miles every day, stopping only to sleep or to rehydrate, a truly inspiring achievement in the name of charity.

David Reeves, the founder behind PROPS stated before the race that he hoped people would show their support by sponsoring the team to make this year’s event the best and biggest yet for the charity.

"With the efforts of our bike riders and the generosity of our supporters we will continue to bring real benefit to the lives of disabled youngsters and their families," he continued. The atmosphere before, during and especially afterwards was emotional to say the least, with riders reaching their physical limits set out within both the gruelling 500 mile trip and the shorter but still monumental 300 mile journey both amazing feats for any cyclist. Mr. Reeves continued by saying; “"The Bristol to Bordeaux Cycle Challenge continues to go from strength to strength and is the cornerstone of our fundraising efforts this year.”

Wednesbury based mobility vehicle experts Jubilee Automotive Group Ltd holds feats of charity close to their hearts and have involved themselves in a number of charitable projects over past years. Reacting to industry news on a regular basis, a spokesperson for Jubilee Mobility commented on the impressive feat, saying:

Supporting many children with special needs, the Bristol to Bordeaux 2014 race raised a significant amount for PROPS and the riders all need to receive the recognition they deserve.”
